Pratap Singh is an IRS officer with elaborate experience in tax policy formulation and administration over the last 32 years. During his career, he has assumed significant roles in the Government of India and has served at different locations including Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Gurgaon. He is also the author of the book Reforms in Tax Administration: An Indian Experience, and has written research papers. In addition to this, he has chaired committees and has authored several reports. Mr Singh's expertise has resulted in several amendments in the Income Tax laws.
A regular columnist for Taxindiaonline and other magazines & newspapers, Mr Singh is also a sought after speaker on taxation and administrative issues. He has a website www.pratapsinghirs.com, where he shares his views and experiences. He has been a huge votary of sustainability and environmental protection and has carried out mega plantation drives in Gurgaon, Faridabad, Hisar and Aligarh. He supports various social causes like education and community development through his NGO, Ujjawalika Foundation.
Mr Singh holds an MTech from IIT Kanpur and a PhD in Developmental Studies from Mysore University, besides holding degrees in Law and Management. This second book follows after a very successful first book where he continues to showcase his prowess.
